Why does the SEC get a 'Lock' in the BCS Championship?

After Florida beats Alabama, why should they jump Texas?? Texas has played a tougher schedule, even after the Alabama game. Their schedule has only Georgia currently ranked. They also lost to an inferior opponent. Even though I'm not a Texas or OU fan, I see that they should be in the title game.
