You definitely made the right decision. When Finn grows up he will really appreciate all the things you have done for him and he will be a really good kid. We all know that there are guys out there that would have headed straight down to the adoption centre and put him up for adoption. I think it's brilliant what you have done and continue to do and I'm glad things are working out well for you, you really deserve it!
