What is the most ridiculous case of political correctness you have heard?

For me it goes back 30 years to when, after the "women's lib" movement people began writing he/she in place of the universal "one" or the traditional "he". I never saw the insult in it and I get tired, almost to the point of resentment, of having to use 2 words to appease, when 1 could do in making the point.
