How can i get tv sound through my wharfedale i-bar from argos im getting sound when i use dvd?

look at what input options you have on the sound bar ie phono or optical. then see what outputs you have on the tv. it would say phono out and consist of a red and white plug. if it had a optical out along with the soundbar even better.once connected turn offf the tv volume and put the soundbar to the right input
