We need to stop using oil, when are we going to learn?

There are many problems with the biggest one being what are we goind to replace using this much oil with? We are addicted to oil & coal & natural gas. There is enough Fossil Fuels left to cause Earth to enter into a Runaway Greenhouse Effect and that will, within a few centuries make Earth uniinhabitable just as our sister planet Venus is uninhabitable due to their Runaway Greenhouse Effect.
