Is this a good sign?

Been seeing this guy almost 5 months, we are taking things slowly because we both have busy careers. I asked him last night did he want to keep seeing me and he said yes, and i also asked him did he see this going anywhere and he told me to just relax and lets see what happens. Is this a good sign? Would he have ended it by now? He has been single a good few years so i feel like he just needs to get used to having someone else in his life, he is very attentive and makes me feel very special when i am with him. If someone hasnt had a relationship for a while do they tend to be more cautious and take things slowly? Sorry for all the questions, thanks need some advice.
