Boyfriends sister and her husband are losing everything and I have to laugh which makes him angry?

My boyfriends sister and brother in law had the good life. He built a company up and sold it for, from what we've been told (they won't ever tell us) close to 10 million. They lived beyond their means. Would brag at holidays about how much their stupid crap in their 2 million dollar home cost. Not so much his sister but def. her husband. Now they are losing it all. In the 6 years I've been with my boyfriend, for example they've owned a viper, a bmw m3 and m5, a hummer, an f 350 diesel, a Bentley, an infiniti qx56, infiniti m45, toyota sequoia, a lotus, and a mercedes amg. Every holiday we would go over to their house the husband (not his sister) would always brag about what they have and just how much it cost. Too many examples to give but one Christmas he bragged about his 14k chandelier he bought (I wanted to throw up) I can't help but laugh now. My boyfriend and I are driving the same vehicles we've had since we met. We own our modest home and get by each month (some months I wonder how we do it) My boyfriend gets angry at times when I say "serves them right". They lived beyond their means and now its biting them in the . I know I probably shouldn't get a kick out of it but I can't help it. They didn't come from money and imo they should of appreciated what happened and been more financially responsible so I feel no pity for them. My question is what do you think? If you had a relative that blew all their fortune away would you feel sorry for them? I do not.
